I made this piece as part of my AS Art & Design coursework portfolio. I used colour pencils to create a symbolic artwork of the palm fruit. I made the inside of the palm fruit look like a blood clot. I did this because many everyday foods/ingredients contain palm oil, we may not realize it but it can cause blood clots which can lead to heart attacks among other complications.
